Day 31 – The good in disappointment!

Halloween on a Saturday–perfect!

We live on two streets of nothing but townhouses and duplexes. I thought for sure that we were set to have trick-or-treaters for Halloween. This is our first year of living in a trick-or-treater friendly location. Or so I thought.

I was so very wrong.

We had our neighbor’s two children. Two other neighborhood children. And the dominos guy. That was our Halloween night this year.

Now–keep in mind…sacrifices were made! We chose to pass on seeing our nephew trick-or-treat, which….the pictures are adorable! && We passed on our friends Halloween party! All because we thought we’d have cuties come by for candy!

I don’t regret our decision in the end. We sat on our porch–candy bowl in lap and just talked. It was nice and we needed that time together. I even got some reading done.

So, even though we were disappointed and I ended the night with a massive migraine, it was still a good night together. But seriously, the next place we live–I am making SURE we are in an area that trick-or-treaters will come to!

Happy Halloween
